Position Title: Sr. Demand Planning Analyst

The mobile gaming industry has been exploding. Consumer spend is expected to continue to grow double digits in the coming years. Smartphones and tablets have created unprecedented access to consumers and created a massive new crop of engaged gamers.

 

We are looking for a Sr. Business Analyst to join the Mobile Demand Planning team. This individual will be based in the EA Redwood Shores campus, working closely with the finance, game analytics, development, marketing, and Live Teams. The right candidate will be able to drive detailed analysis across multiple industry leading mobile games

 

What you’ll do:

 

  • Lead mobile game revenue forecasts supported with fact-based data-driven insights, analysis and modeling
  • Work with game analysts, producers, marketing, and finance to establish collaborative forecasts with aligned assumptions
  • Condense complex analysis into succinct assumptions and visuals for broad consumption across the organization
  • Drive constant learning across the organization by testing assumptions, investigating discrepancies to their root case and communicating new insights
  • Manage a high-level of complexity working across parallel systems (financial, operating and game-specific), millions of data points and varying forecast frameworks (e.g. player cohort vs time-series metrics)
  • Work with key stakeholders to evaluate ROI for new products, marketing strategies and other initiatives
  • Support additional ad hoc analysis utilizing standard and custom mobile game metrics

 

What we’re looking for:

 

  • 4+ years of relevant hands on experience, preferably in mobile, gaming, consulting or entertainment
  • Excellent Excel skills: including pivot tables, vlookups, charts and graphs
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Working knowledge of SQL
  • Familiarity with a data visualization software package (e.g., Tableau)
  • Familiarity with PowerPoint
  • Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and to meet changing deadlines and priorities on multiple simultaneous projects
  • Team player and self-starter with the ability to liaise with multiple teams and stakeholders
  • B.A. or B.S. in Business Management, Mathematics, Statistics or Computer Science – Master’s Degree a plus
  • Passion for videogames is preferred
