Position Title: Manager, HR Central

External Description:

Our People Practices, Programs and Change Manager is accountable for developing new ways of reaching and engaging employees through more effective and sequenced People Experience (HR) program delivery, communications, learning events and training opportunities. This role will have a visible impact on the Employee Experience at EA, and have a chance to build a new discipline of more streamlined and effective communications and programs.

Reporting into the Head of Program Management, the Programs and Change Manager will create and maintain a global integrated calendar of events/ outreach, employee communications, and People Experience programs. He/she will provide cross-functional program management for complex initiatives and coordinate the messaging that supports those initiatives. The Programs and Change Manager will also be responsible for working with subject matter experts to craft employee centered communications that are timely and impactful. This is a highly-collaborative role, working with and influencing teams across People Experience, Corporate Communications, IT and Legal.

The role will be based in Redwood City, CA.

What the People Practices, Program and Change Manager does at EA:

  • Be the center point responsible for understanding the wide-range of People Experience (HR) program delivery, communications, learning events and training happening globally at EA and maintain this content in an integrated calendar
  • Collect, integrate and publish the integrated calendar, creating various views for different stakeholder needs and groups (i.e. country – based or targeted to employees/managers only)
  • Synthesize and present the global calendar of events and outreach, considering variances and translation needs for different stakeholders.
  • Quantify major areas of overlap and opportunities to integrate messages, e.g. program roll-out, policy updates and training dates.
  • Partner with our project leads to plan and execute effective change and communication materials that engage and inform our stakeholders.
  • Think strategically about how to leverage different channels for engagement of stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of key messages. Work with People Experience (HR) teams to distill a common voice in our communications.
  • Administer key People Experience communication channels and content, such as, Slack and intranet sites; measure effectiveness, drive adoption and usage.
  • Document and maintain the People Experience (HR) communications playbook, tracking best practices, repeatable approaches and lessons learned. Lead debriefs with a mindset of continuous improvement
  • Connect regularly with People Experience (HR), Corporate Communications, IT and Legal representatives to help strengthen internal communications systems and platforms, and drive people engagement, awareness, and accountability.

The next great People Practices, Programs and Change Manager at EA also needs to have:

  • Minimum experience: Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field plus 6 or more years of progressive success within Human Resources, Program Management, Marketing or similar.
  • The ideal candidate has a passion for process and operational improvement and a track record of thinking outside of the box to deliver innovations to better serve employees.
  • Superior project management, planning and time management skills.
  • Excellent change management skills - comfortable with ambiguity and constant change, able to methodically work through complex problems, set priorities and execute on commitments.
  • Demonstrated creativity and out-of-this world writing, layout and editing skills.
  • Sensitivity to local culture / language norms and ability to modify messages to engage a global audience.
  • Excellent at building and managing through relationships across the organization - with peers, upwards, and with center of expertise partners.
  • Fluent with G-suite and Slack. Strong knowledge and understanding of current trends in digital media/social media.
  • Must have a sense of humor and a drive to win!
