Criterion is fortunate enough to work on some of the biggest games EA makes. We are currently working on an exciting new game mode for one of EAs leading franchises which will make players go wild! We need people to join us in this journey to create world class player experiences in one of the biggest games in the world.

What a Technical Designer does at Criterion:

At Criterion we love making games together. That means working in cross-discipline teams alongside engineers, designers and artists to create exceptional game experiences. As a Technical Designer you will be responsible for implementing features using a proprietary visual programming system and to collaborate closely with designers, producers and QA to iterated them into the best possible experiences available for a player. You’ll also work with engineers to direct the building blocks you need as well as level designers to integrate the features seamlessly into the world.

The next great Criterion Technical Designer also needs:

A strong grasp of mathematics with an ability to build out clear and concise logical flows of design. They will need to be a driven person who is able to work well as part of a larger feature team. A Technical Designer needs to be good at communicating and able to find the right balance between prototyping something quickly and implementing it properly to a bug-free, maintainable, extensible, high quality. Previous experience with visual programming such as the Unreal Blueprints or Unity Flow Canvas systems would be very beneficial.
