Development Director-Motive QV - Battlefield

We are seeking a seasoned QA Manager/ Development Director with a passion for quality and innovation to join us as a QV Development Director for Battlefield, providing strategic support for the Motive team in Montreal. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing QV project strategy and execution, collaborating with leaders across Battlefield QV, development teams, and stakeholders. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure project deliverables are completed punctually and within budget while upholding Battlefield's high-quality standards.

Role Overview

As a Development Director for Battlefield, you will provide strategic and operational leadership for the Battlefield Motive QV team. You will harness your experience to promote collaboration, drive innovation, enhance QA practices, share expertise, and advocate for superior game design and implementation.

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Overseeing strategic delivery of major aspects of a AAA title from conception to post-launch.

• Building and guiding a robust team of QA Analysts, focusing on hiring, mentoring, training, and professional development.

• Collaborating with QV analysts and game feature development teams to define requirements and specifications.

• Anticipating bottlenecks, escalating to management, prioritizing tasks, balancing business needs against technical constraints, and fostering partner engagement.

• Driving QA evolution through championing defect prevention/containment and test automation.

  • Proactively identifying, reporting, mitigating and escalating project risks to ensure smooth project progression and the minimization of unforeseen challenges.

• Managing financial aspects of the project, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to ensure cost-effectiveness and financial efficiency.

Key Requirements:

• Passion for quality

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience

• 7+ years of game or software development QA experience, including 4+ years in a managerial role.

• Experience working with remote teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

• Familiarity with applications such as JIRA, Confluence, DevTest, or TestRail.

• Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)

• Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as Power Bi

• Experience with test automation and telemetry systems
