The Tools and Technology (TnT) Team within Fusion is looking for accomplished people to help us fulfill our mission of providing creative tools and workflows that allow EA to lead the industry in content quality. Our group strives to build an ecosystem of modular components that are efficient, adjustable to trends, and allow for quick iteration of any artistic idea into reality. Summary:
Reporting to the TnT Senior Development Director, the Development Director (DD) role oversees all aspects of people leadership and project management within the team. You will be experienced in leading and developing teams and driving those teams to deliver high-quality products to customers. You will be the lead DD on the Characters Tools team, partnering to deliver innovative technologies that deliver exceptional character likenesses to our game team partners. This position can be remote.
Responsibilities:

You will partner with the Characters Product and Domain leads to guide the workstreams to meet milestones and critical deliveries.

You will work with internal and external partners to ensure that quality, budgets, and timelines are met.

You will provide project management support to specific workstreams within the Characters domain.

You will find and address team and project risks, focusing on removing blockers for the team.

You will oversee sprint and roadmap progress and work with the Product and Domain leads to communicate variances to important partners.

You will help develop a team culture based on openness, trust, and collaboration.

You will be responsible for coaching and career development of your reports.
Qualifications:

Experience:

8+ years project management experience of technical projects and 6+ years of team development experience.

Leadership skills:

You have the ability drive a multi-disciplinary team to deliver quality products through collaboration.

You have the ability to set clear objectives, and monitor execution towards those objectives.

Role specific skills:

You have excellent knowledge of software development processes, with significant project and risk management experience.

You are an inclusive and development-orientated people manager who has managed both people within your area of expertise and those within other job families.

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. BASE SALARY RANGES • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º $133,400 - $193,200 CAN Annually Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity. |
