Marcom Activation is responsible for developing global, coherent and consistent marketing plans that drive both player acquisition and engagement. This program is designed to show you how Marketing Activation comes to life in partnership with our Global Brand Management and Marcom cross-functional partners, having a direct impact on the marketing mix players experience worldwide.

In this role you will assist the Star Wars global marketing activation team with the development and execution of integrated omni-channel marketing plans. Further, at the completion of the internship you will develop and design a presentation that encapsulates your impact on the team and the business as a whole.

About Marcom (Marketing & Communication) Activation

Our mission: to orchestrate the strategic planning, development, execution and measurement of integrated global marketing campaigns – from inception through live service – to grow profitable player relationships.

As part of the Global Activation Management team you will be integral to the orchestration, development, execution and measurement of the global marketing campaign for EA’s non-sport titles.  By driving clear accountabilities and seamless collaboration in a fast paced, always-on environment, you will profoundly impact the ability to build trust with players, innovate with disruptive marketing, and achieve strong business results.

Team members have strong leadership qualities.  They excel at collaboration and communication, working across all internal and external stakeholders to create, execute, measure and optimize the campaign. They strike the fine balance of being flexible and open to challenges while also being decisive and accountable for actions and outcomes.

Day to Day Responsibilities for Global Activation

The Global Activation Management team is at the heart of our marketing activations and summer is an incredibly exciting and busy moment for the entire gaming industry with EA Play and E3. We are looking for an intern who will support our Global Activation team to flawlessly orchestrate and execute our plans.

• Partner with global cross-functional teams (Events, PR, Paid Media, Community Management, Creative, Web) to execute against our campaign roadmap
• Clearly communicate the plans, next steps to galvanize strike teams to deliver on time and at quality
• Have a strong pulse on gaming and entertainment/competitor news and trends to strategically inform the marketing plan

• Organized Project Manager– Incredibly strong organization skills needed to keep a very large cross-functional team focused and on the same page
• Quick Learner– Ability to make sound decisions with imperfect information while also knowing when to ask for guidance
• Self-Starter– Need assertive individuals who know how to proactively add value 
• Adaptive Problem Solver– Effectively troubleshoot to devise solutions to pivot plans and/or remove roadblocks
• Multi-tasker– Must be able to maintain focus while juggling multiple projects 
• Poised Communicator– the Marcom Activation team is the first point of contact for all our internal teams including our senior leadership and executive team. We need an individual who will be able to communicate using discernment and is calm under pressure.
• Team Player– While this intern will be on the Marcom Activation team, every cross-functional team will have a myriad of tasks around EA Play. We need an intern who will happily jump in wherever needed. We are one team here at EA.
• Self-Awareness – No egos. 

 

Qualifications

• Undergrad slated to graduate in 2021; preferably majoring in Marketing or Communications
• No current commitments post-graduation
