A major change in the way games are currently made comes from the ever-increasing power of deep learning and modern AI. Our deep learning research team works on the future of animation, game AI, and content creation. As an AI infrastructure engineer, you will work alongside our research engineers and make sure SEED’s deep learning infrastructure runs smoothly. You will build job scheduling technologies, make sure our tools work with the latest TPUs and GPUs, that things distribute well, that logs and metrics are solid, all the while making sure our deep learning workloads get everything we can out of our machines.

What skills does SEED seek?

• Distributed computing: Much of modern deep learning can benefit immensely from both distribution and parallelization. Experience with software engineering in these settings would be great!
• Kubernetes and the cloud: Almost all of our workloads need to run on clusters and at SEED we use Kubernetes to dispatch these jobs. If you have experience working with large-scale computing, either in an HPC or cloud setting we would love to talk to you!
• A desire to learn: SEED's needs are diverse and shifting, and we want to hire for the long term. No matter what you know when you start, if you join us you will have to learn lots of new skills. The most important skill you can have is, therefore, an ability and desire to learn new things. Given that, everything else we can probably figure out together!
