The challenge ahead

Frostbite is our technology platform for diverse game franchises, being used by thousands of developers to craft experiences such FIFA, Battlefield, Star Wars Battlefront, Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Need for Speed and Plant vs. Zombies Garden Warfare. To enable our game makers to create fantastic experiences, they need high-quality tools which evolves over the years. This is where Frostbite QA comes in.

We are looking for someone who will take ownership of our game integration test efforts. As a Senior Quality Analyst, you will be a driver of the quality process and become adept in testing the engine, integrated games and associated in-house or 3rd party tools.

What a QA Analyst does at Frostbite

Your focus will be on identifying issues during the integration cycle, supported by in-depth knowledge of development, system design and implementation. This role challenges our software by employing a variety of test methods (scripted, exploratory, destructive) to ensure the engine is functional, reliable, performant and highly usable.

Another key part to success in this role is collaboration! You’ll be vital in ensuring that our software integrations go smooth for all involved teams, an effort which you support through build testing, deeper investigations, surfacing risk areas and guiding them towards quality. Analysts are also a key part of the Frostbite Quality group by sharing learning and working on team-wide improvements.

What is Frostbite QA looking for?

  • 3+ years of Quality experience, working with defect tracking, test management and bug prevention strategies
  • Understanding of software development processes, continuous integration, build systems and related tools (Perforce, Visual Studio)
  • Previous experience with games, game engines, content & asset editors
  • Familiarity with common automation approaches including testing frameworks, unit tests, and automated functional tests
  • A team player with solid collaboration and communication skills, ready to work with people distributed across multiple locations
  • Self-organized, able to prioritize competing demands
  • Motivated to continuously learn and improve

  • C++/C# knowledge
