Development Director in Quality Verification

Reporting into the Quality Verification leadership but working embedded within the Track Twenty studio, you will steer the Quality Verification efforts for Track Twenty. This full-time position is based in Helsinki, Finland, with a flexible work model.

Responsibilities

  • Manage operational aspects of Quality Verification planning in all development stages from pre-pro, production, launch, and live.

  • Build Quality Assurance practices that improve upstream quality and shift left ideology.  

  • Use a data-driven approach to contribute to product quality and project efficiency.

  • Collaborate across a diverse group of project leaders and development partners across multiple locations globally.

  • Change management, viewing challenges as opportunities to implement strategic enhancements.

  • Identify resourcing requirements, guide and cultivate changes to talent, skills, and practices to achieve operational and strategic objectives.

  • Supervise the professional growth of team members, set objectives based on their personal development plans, and organize individual meetings.

  • Monitor and develop the talent skills, utilizing training and proactive recruitment strategies.

  • Provide mentorship and support to other leaders with diverse teams.

  • Advocate for a culture of diversity and inclusion, fostering an environment that encourages creativity and teamwork.

Required skills & qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in game design, computer science or a related field

  • 6+ years of experience in Quality Assurance (including Test strategy, implementing test methodologies, test automation, upskilling, driving best practices, reporting, mentoring, resourcing, building teams, finding and providing solutions)  

  • 5+ years of experience with project management and bug tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Qmetry) in an agile framework.

  • 5+ years of experience in people management.

  • An understanding of game development, interdisciplinary dependencies and associated development risks. 

  • Experience working within a collaborative team environment across many locations/time zones.
