As a Game Designer reporting to the Senior Game Designer, you will create content that aligns with business and design goals with unwavering attention to theme, quality, and the needs of our players.
This is a 6 month contract role with possibility to extend.
You have experience working on a live mobile game. You will demonstrate an understanding of games and player compulsion and will be well-versed in games of all types and genres. You will be a die-hard Star Wars fan with a history of creating quality, thematic content, and features. You are curious, creative, collaborative, and have a preference for using telemetry to validate your design thinking. Additionally, you are an advocate of design culture and thinking who excels in a diverse environment.

Responsibilities
- Play the game and become an expert in the game.
- Create and tune IP-correct content that yields accessible yet deep experiences for players.
- Build new units, gear, and events for players by using internal tools and editing game data in XML directly.
- Partner with other disciplines to ensure your content and features are delivered to the highest quality.
- Work within existing systems and expand on them, including integrating feedback from user experience testing.
- Guide change through research and live data.
- Prototype design ideas in-game and iterate through playtesting.
Qualifications
- Have 2+ years of game design experience.
- Are an active player of mobile turn-based RPGs.
- Experience working on a mobile F2P game.
- Demonstrable content creation skills.
- Remain current on industry trends, including new game genres, new game design methods, and new platforms.
- Unity, Perforce, and scripting experience preferred.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the range and benefits for your specific location. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. BASE SALARY RANGES • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): º $82,500 - $122,900 USD Annually • New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo): º $76,000 - $122,900 USD Annually • Jersey City, NJ : º $99,000 - $122,900 USD Annually • Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs): º $91,600 - $122,200 USD Annually • Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane): º $76,000 - $109,200 USD Annually • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria): º $73,200 - $101,700 CAN Annually Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. In the US, we offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to temporary full-time employees scheduled to work full time. In British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance. |
