Position Title: Senior Director, Global Brand Management

External Description:

The Sr Director of Franchise Marketing is a leadership role that drives portfolio-wide American Football go-to-market strategy across Madden NFL and College Football, including marketing strategy, creative briefing and campaign planning. You will sit within the Publishing Organization and report to the VP of Franchise Strategy & Marketing that leads the American Football portfolio within EA SPORTS.

Your role works in close collaboration with multiple teams across the Experience and Studio organization, including Franchise Strategy, Product Development, Commercial, Creative, Production, Communications, Growth Marketing and more; defining the strategic framework of our marketing campaigns, investment profile, signature initiatives and go-to-market governance. You will be accountable to sustainable player engagement, and revenue growth for  the American Football portfolio through attributable marketing strategies and connected KPIs.

As a Sr Director in the EA SPORTS Publishing team, you will manage a team of direct reports and lead portfolio-wide marketing efforts to greater innovation, speed and effectiveness. You will be expected to develop a high-performing team, institute frameworks and processes to improve marketing efficacy and impact, and represent business growth to executives within EA SPORTS.

What You’ll Do

 

  • Establish integrated go-to-market principles and strategies that a) align to the annual and multi year business objectives on Madden NFL and College Football,  b) enable integrated marketing planning and response, and c) inspire breakthrough creative and player experiences connected to the brand(s).
  • Define marketing budgets, in partnership with Finance and cross functional marketing leads, that connect to strategic opportunity and enable cross functional marketing teams to produce and execute go-to-market plans.
  • Lead campaign planning and signature marketing initiatives with cross functional marketing partners, ensuring that COE plans connect back to key strategies.
  • Establish marketing KPIs to ensure the campaign is measurable and accountable to marketing funnel performance and business objectives.
  • Drive creative briefing to ensure Creative expressions in consumer-facing marketing connect to strategic imperatives and the motivations of our target audiences.
  • Provide Go-To-Market governance for all marketing functions that enables prioritization and resource-allocation to drive impact.
  • Develop a high-performing team of strategic marketers that serve as the spearhead to our go-to-market planning connected to the business and product briefs.
  • Connect licensors, partners and agencies to high-quality results aligned to marketing objectives.
  • Evolve marketing excellence, processes, tools, and technology to adapt and lead teams toward the future of EA SPORTS marketing and player experiences.
  • Lead and inspire cross functional teams and EA SPORTS executives toward confidence in our approach and impact.

 

 

Requirements

  • 10+ years of leadership experience in brand and product marketing, with a strong focus on global audience growth, retention, and engagement
  • Deep sport, product and consumer expertise connected to the American Football brands
  • Strategic marketing expertise in a global B2C capacity
  • Ability to galvanize, collaborate and manage stakeholders,  licenses and/or external partners
  • Team leadership of direct and indirect experts
  • Experience driving business and team transformation
  • Ability to manage multi million dollar marketing budgets to drive outcomes
  • Experience bringing multi-channel content and creative campaigns to market
  • Passion for sports, specifically motorsports preferred.  


BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $179,900 - $249,800 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
