Report into QA Director

Responsibilities

  • Oversee strategic delivery of major aspects of a AAA title from conception to post-launch.
  • Lead the QA team, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
  • Develop and implement comprehensive QA processes, and best practices to ensure high-quality game releases.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, designers, and producers, to identify and address quality issues early in the development cycle.
  • Report on QA metrics, such as defect density and defect leakage.
  • Stay updated on QA methodologies and technologies.
  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement within the QA team and organization.
  • Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, creativity, and collaboration.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in QA, with at least 4 years in a managerial or lead role.
  • Delivered at least one AAA title from pre-production to launch.
  • Experience with QA methodologies and tooling.
  • Passion for gaming and understanding of game development processes.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
  • Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) is optional.
