We are seeking a Playtest Director focused on Experiential Quality for the Battlefield franchise supporting playtest functions and process. You will report to the Director of Experiential Quality - Battlefield QV and be part of a dynamic team of leaders driving an important strategic pillar for EA. You will support a diverse team focused on ensuring the quality of Battlefield meets player’s expectations. Our team will be integrated partners in the Battlefield product development organization, ensuring we meet the highest standards of Quality across every Battlefield experience.

You will work with a team of people who will be focused on providing meaningful insights to improve the quality of the Battlefield experience.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the execution of the wider playtesting initiative, bringing your expertise and passion to the successful execution of these efforts.

  • Collaborate with and oversee external vendors ensuring they deliver at the quality level required for a large playtesting initiative.

  • Develop efficient processes for gathering and analyzing playtest feedback that can be actioned by the product development team.

  • Implement and share new ways of improving operational efficiency, increasing value and predictability.

  • Identify resourcing needs (internally and externally), guide and develop changes to talent, skills and practices to accomplish product, operational and strategic goals.

You will:

  • Manage the professional development of team members, establish goals with team members based on their personal development plans and organize one-to-one meetings.

  • Manage performance and conduct annual reviews together with peers and management.

  • Resolve challenges in a collaborative way, ensuring team satisfaction.

  • Monitor and evolve talent skill mix, using training and active recruitment plans and strategies.

  • Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion and maintain an environment that encourages creativity and collaboration.

  • You will use your analytical and communication skills to report product and project status.

  • Bring fresh insights that can level up our approach within QVS.

Qualifications:

  • You have a track record of building and managing teams in the entertainment industry while maintaining high-quality output.

  • 3+ years of experience as a people manager.

  • You have experience working with senior leadership and feel comfortable doing so.

  • You are knowledgeable about quality assurance and software testing methodologies.

  • You always know the status of your project and can share that information with any audience.

  • You have a passion for video games, in particular the FPS genre.

  • This position can be remote with a preference for hybrid work with our Vancouver locations.

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $115,100 - $161,200 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
