Position Title: Site Reliability Engineer III

External Description:

You will be important to our mission to create an internal developer platform (IDP) that streamlines the software development process to take us into the next generation of quality tools which will scale to meet the demand of ever increasing game complexity. We are looking for excellent troubleshooting skills, strong attention to detail, and a focus on reliability, as well as a solid foundation in programming.

We are looking for candidates with experience in both CI/CD and Infrastructure as Code, who are passionate about technology and building solutions that address problems faced by our partners. Our team will be focused on providing our partners with comprehensive capabilities delivered through reliable services by implementing and promoting SRE values and patterns within our team and across the partners we work with.

You will report to our SRE Technical Director and work with team members and partners worldwide, contributing to the creation of our platform, troubleshooting and resolving issues, and improving reliability across our systems.

We can consider hybrid based working at our Guildford office, and also remote based working, however there will be occasional travel to the office required.

Responsibilities

  • Create, maintain and support distributed, cloud-based solutions using modern approaches and best practices.
  • Encourage and improve knowledge sharing by working with peers from across the organisation, sharing your experience, learning from others and contributing to our shared knowledge base.
  • Evaluate the performance of our solutions and seek ways to improve them
  • You will focus on helping developers deliver through easy to use and consume self-service solutions that reduce cognitive load.
  • Perform root cause analysis and post-mortems with an eye towards future prevention.
  • Evaluate and explore ideas through fast prototyping and feedback from team members and users

You bring the following skills or experiences to our team:

  • 5+ years of experience in a technical role focused on development and operation of diverse and complex services and legacy systems.
  • 3+ years of experience with containerization, cloud computing (AWS preferred), container management systems.
  • 2+ years of experience monitoring infrastructure and application availability.
  • Experience delivering well documented solutions which reduce onboarding and integration time for partners.
  • Automation and orchestration experience with Terraform, GitLab CI.
  • Eagerness to join a diverse team spread across multiple locations
