The Battlefield Franchise (DICE, Ripple Effect, Criterion and Motive) is looking for a Head of Battlefield Franchise Development Operations, reporting to the SVP, GM of Battlefield. This person will ensure world-class content development while creating partnerships with the Studios’ leadership and development talent, improve operational and organization excellence and form connections/relationships with leaders across EA including internal groups such as Marketing, Publishing and Technology.  Your role will evaluate resourcing across the franchise, development processes, collaboration and how the latest technology can ensure business opportunities and focus toward innovation.  We are looking for someone who has the capability to leverage the talent and capabilities of the global team. You will have a mix of development, business, technical, innovation and leadership experience from the game / entertainment industry.  

Responsibilities:

  • Support the SVP, General Manager of Battlefield in game development and manage an organization to maximize product development effectiveness within a return on investment framework.
  • Translate business strategy into an operational system to achieve the vision and ensure delivery of world-class products through collaborative processes across multiple studios
  • Improve organizational capability with practical systems for quality and creative game development, and influence development processes including internal and external resources.
  • Partner to develop a 5 year strategic planning process, resource allocation, and process design to enhance efficiency, predictability, and transformation goals, promoting company values in operations across all studios.
  • Be a talent champion, lead a team of 4 direct reports, supporting a global team of over 1100, while providing direction to Development Directors and Operations leaders, manage studio budgets and resources, and oversee special projects related to strategic opportunities.

Qualifications: 

  • 15+ years in delivering quality products within agreed upon time frames and budgets through operational excellence and partnerships within  all departments. 
  • 10+ years of  project planning resource allocation where a creative “DNA” product is developed across a global, multi location organization.
  • You have experience with games, specifically in the First Person Shooter genre with an understanding of the game development cycles, complexities of production and business’ nuances. Understanding of new “free-to-play” game models is helpful.  
  • In-depth experience in HD/Console,  mobile products and digital development best practices with a passion and expertise towards creating amazing player experiences. 
  • You have a mix of development, business, technical, innovation and leadership experience from the game / entertainment industry. 

 

US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location. EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): $271,000 - $386,000 USD Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
