Battlefield aims to bring our players classic and new experiences, big or small, on time, at quality, every time, for all our players to enjoy in a safe, respectful, and highly competitive environment. Battlefield Game Ops is the team fueling this journey. Battlefield Game Ops consists of two teams:

  • Our release team focuses on releasing high quality, bug free software on time and with high availability.
  • Our positive play team focuses on providing fair and highly competitive experiences, free of cheaters and abusers.

Our players deserve to play when they want, how they want, and with who they want (or don’t want). Battlefield Game Ops focuses on bringing the fun.

Job Description

  • Accountable to drive development operations (e.g., global hiring strategies, talent management and health, budget and schedule management, risk intelligence and reporting) for Battlefield’s product release and positive play teams, with the mission of delivering quality software releases, high reliability, and safe and fair player experiences.
  • Establish and execute against product release and positive play OKRs with input from product leadership while managing progress and communications across and up.
  • Operate effectively within a geographically dispersed, always live, multi-product development environment, while both building Game Ops team cohesiveness and skill, while also managing Battlefield-wide stakeholder expectations.
  • Builds a clear and pragmatic business case for Game Ops strategic investment against Battlefield objectives.
  • Drive a culture of continual improvement by conducting regular post-mortems of releases and failures to create new learning, focusing on application to future release and process refinement.
  • Actively align EA partner team strategies and execution to meet Battlefield needs and operate as an escalation path for the release and positive play teams.

Experience & Skills

  • Significant software project management experience, ideally with experience in live service release and product health management.
  • Highly effective asynchronous communicator through email, Slack/Teams, M365/Gsuite, and other productivity tools.
  • Highly effective presenter in both “on the spot” dialog and formal presentations regarding strategy and operational insights.
  • Agile development approach with focus on a well maintained and prioritized set of priorities, including via project management tools such as Jira/JaaS, AzureDevOps or similar.
  • Excellent spoken and written communication in English.
