Position Title: Senior Manager, User Experience Research

We are looking for a Senior Manager of Research Operations to join our globally distributed team, with options for on-site, remote or hybrid work in Vancouver, Guildford or Montreal. Reporting to the Director of PQI Operations, you'll manage the Research Operations team and collaborate across PQI disciplines to enhance player experience throughout the insights lifecycle.

In Player, Quality, and Insights (PQI) team, we're dedicated to engaging with our players early and often to shape the future of EA's games. Your role is important to guide this mission forward.

Main Responsibilities include:

Research Operations

  • You will elevate playtesting events' effectiveness to ensure high-value, player-centric experiences.

  • You will provide oversight of EA playtest labs ensuring continuous improvements to enhance player experience.

  • You will implement strategies to reduce time-to-recruit and streamline project execution

Project and Process Management

  • You will improve efficiency through project and process management, implementing scalable programs and improving workflows.

  • You will monitor metrics to track research event success, focusing on consistent delivery and measurable outcomes.

  • You will collaborate with Operations, Research, and Data Analytics to improve processes and tools.

 

Team Leadership

  • You will lead, coach, and provide career development to direct and indirect reports

  • You will effectively collaborate with diverse teams, fostering cohesion and driving collective success.

  • You will foster innovation within the team, inspiring fresh thinking, empowering innovation and meaningful change.

  • You will lead by example, removing operational barriers, fostering collaboration, and guiding career development.

  • You will implement the vision and roadmap for operational capabilities needed to deliver next-generation Research Operations.

  • You will help overcome operational blockers and foster team collaboration

  • 5+ years in Research Operations or Program Management within a research organization.

  • 3+ years in a leadership role with medium-sized teams.

  • Experience managing diverse teams across different time zones and locations.

  • Effective at communicating across all levels, can socialize strategies, value and results

  • Proficiency in research road-mapping, impact tracking, budget management, vendor relationships, and insights repository.

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $133,400 - $193,200 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
