Acquired by EA in 2021, Playdemic is home to the top 10 grossing, BAFTA winning mobile smash – Golf Clash. Having opened at the beginning of 2020, our award-winning, bespoke studio space offers conventional desk space and indulgent breakout areas, meeting rooms and alternative workspaces. The office has been designed to create an environment that encourages and allows our team to do their very best work.

Playdemic is looking to add an experienced Data Analyst to their existing analytics team. The team provides services to Playdemic's game teams, including Golf Clash, the number one top grossing mobile sports game in North America.

For this Data Analyst role; reporting to the Senior Data Scientist, we are looking for someone with experience manipulating large datasets to extract and visualise useful information. You will bring expertise in data analysis to help provide solutions and services related to a huge variety of topics, including; feature performance, game economy, player experience and game telemetry. You will work with our accomplished teams across our studio and EA mobile worldwide.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain a set of dashboards which allow key stakeholders to monitor all areas of the game.
  • Produce detailed data reports which are delivered across the organisation.
  • Communicate insights from data to a variety of different audiences.
  • Design and instrumentation of telemetry to measure the impact of feature additions and feature changes in the game.
  • Support teams across the studio with data extraction and ad hoc analysis.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of professional experience as a data analyst or similar role
  • You will have experience writing complex SQL queries and query optimization
  • Expertise in creating dashboards and visualising data
  • Experienced in analysing extremely complex, multi-dimensional datasets
  • Knowledgeable about data and statistical analysis techniques
  • Experience with mobile gaming/entertainment space, typical business models, game development practices and technology
  • Familiarity in handling data with at least one scripting language (e.g. Python)
