Position Title: Manager, Global Community Engagement

Senior Marketing and Community Manager 

Electronic Arts’ Firemonkeys Studio in Melbourne, Australia is well regarded throughout the industry as a leader in mobile games and home of The Sims FreePlay.

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Marketing and Community Manager to join our team, reporting to the GM. You will engage our player community, and implement marketing strategies to attract new players to The Sims FreePlay. You should understand mobile gaming, have a hands-on approach, and a creative mindset. 

Responsibilities:

  • Develop marketing campaigns to grow player acquisition, engagement, and monetisation
  • Create a social media strategy to engage and grow our player community across multiple platforms
  • Identify opportunities, manage relationships, and implement marketing activations with influencers, content creators, and partners to enhance brand visibility and reach
  • Work with our first party publishing partners to ensure that the game is using ASO, Live Ops/In-app Event submissions, and Featuring opportunities 
  • Advocate for Firemonkeys with The Sims Franchise Brand Team to align brand messaging across the Sims franchise, while distinguishing The Sims FreePlay within the portfolio 
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor activities, and latest platforms to identify new marketing opportunities
  • Present regular reports on marketing performance, community engagement, and player feedback to team members
  • Engage directly with players through community forums, social media, in-game channels, and other media formats 
  • Analyse player feedback, reviews, and sentiment to identify areas of improvement and work with the game development and customer support team to implement appropriate changes
  • Provide direction and mentorship to our Marketing Artist and offsite Community Manager 

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years’ experience in marketing and community management within the gaming or B2C app space
  • The ability to craft engaging and creative content and campaigns
  • Experience marketing games/apps on Apple and Google storefronts
  • Experience with social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, X, TikTok, YouTube, Discord, etc.
  • Proficient in using analytics tools to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and community engagement

Bonus:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or a related field
  • Experience with gaming and familiarity with The Sims FreePlay and its community
  • Experience working on a long running live service with products that are part of a larger franchise
  • ASO/SEO expertise 
  • Experience repositioning sub-brands in a larger franchise portfolio
