Position Title: Senior Analyst

Our ideal team member (reporting to Sr. Manager of Data and Analytics team) will have the mathematical and statistical expertise needed to create deep insights from multiple data sources, paired with the natural curiosity and creative mind to ask questions, connect the dots, and uncover opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • You will design telemetry logs to track in-game behaviors based on the game design and the request of partners.

  • You will perform regular deep dives to investigate player segments, behaviors, and spending habits to improve monetization on the product.

  • You will evaluate the impact/success of game events, content updates and marketing campaigns, provide insightful suggestions on next steps. 

  • You will analyze daily performance data, including sales and in-game telemetry, to identify opportunities and challenges, then create strategies to achieve results.

  • You will create and maintain static and interactive dashboards, reports and ad-hoc queries. 

  • You will communicate results of analysis with recommendations and influence to the partners.

Required Qualifications

  • Technical skills

    • 3-5 years experience of SQL, 1 or more years of experience of R or Python for data analysis.

    • Excellent data analysis skills required; experience of modeling, A/B testing, multivariate testing, machine leaning and statistics desirable.

    • Experience working with distributed data stores (Hadoop, Redshift etc.)

  • Soft skills

    • You have ability to partner with multiple disciplines and influence.

    • You have experience working collaboratively within a small team and communicate across teams in different regions.

    • Fan of games, especially popular mobile games. Having your own understanding for games is a big plus.

    • Fan of football is a big plus.

    • Fluent in both Mandarin and English.

  • Other qualifications

    • You have experience as an analyst within an Agile corporate environment.

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

EA has listed the base salary ranges it in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in the locations listed, as of the time of this posting. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $77,600 - $130,500 CAN Annually


Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
