Position Title: Sr Experience Designer

We are currently working to bring cutting-edge FPS gaming to your phone. We are seeking a Technical Experience Designer to join our Experience Design group to help create world-class experiences for our players. You will collaborate with other Designers, Artists, and Engineers to implement UI systems for our game. Our goal is to create an intuitive mobile interface for a complex first-person game.

Responsibilities

• Report to Experience Design Lead
• Build UI content into the game using Unreal Engine UMG Layouts and Blueprint
• Polish UI using animation and FX to make compelling experiences for our players
• Partner with UI Artists, Experience Designers, and Game Designers to bring the team's vision to life

Required Technical Skills

• Experience shipping or publishing projects in a team environment
• UI Development experience with any of the following: ActionScript/Flash, C#, Unity, Unreal Engine, Javascript, or similar

Preferred Skills and Experience

• The ideal candidate has implemented UI for at least one published video game title
• Experience using Unreal Engine UMG to create game UI
• Experience using iTween or similar tools to create animations to bring a UI to life
• Avid gamer with a passion for creating top-quality games

Non-Technical Skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability and desire to work with other game developers in a cooperative team environment
• Ability to quickly learn and apply new concepts, principles, and solutions
• Dependability and commitment to projects/tasks

 

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): $108,700 - $166,550
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo): $107,450 - $166,550
• Jersey City, NJ : $107,450 - $166,550
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs): $107,450 - $153,250
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane): $107,450 - $153,250

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
