Position Title: Director, Product Management

External Description:

The EA Technology Growth Strategy team creates momentum for EA to continually evolve, keep the roadmap relevant to changing needs and build an innovation-focused environment to stay ahead of the curve. As a Director, Product Management reporting to the group VP, you will create a customer-focused product roadmap to identify the technologies EA needs for the future of gaming. You will create the long-term roadmap to implement the vision of the team with a high degree of ownership over the entire experience. You will work with other PMs, analysts, designers, and developers to be the voice of the players and creators. You will balance data, design, and user experience. You will also be expected to analyze quantitative and qualitative data to deliver relevant insights that will help shape the roadmap.

Responsibilities

  • Tell the story of the Tech Growth Strategy team, Putting together a clear roadmap for all programs: Tech M&A, External Partnerships, Future Tech Strategy, Tech Incubator and Tech Advocacy.
  • You will produce product strategy, and present clear measurable goals that will lead to achieving our business goals.
  • Write clear and detailed specifications, working across multi-disciplinary teams (design, UX, art, engineering) to launch features and content, and analysing the impact of those releases
  • Partner with other product managers and analysts to analyse the impact of projects and provide relevant recommendations that will affect future iterations
  • Define short- and long-term KPIs to establish success criteria and maintain these to track project quality, delivery, and predictability.
  • Provide insights to prioritise the roadmap and measure risk/reward payouts against the cost

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of experience in product management, business, program, operations and/or engineering management experience.
  • Track record of successfully leading the creation of many high quality, large-scale software products
  • Experience with game development and the business models involved.
  • Analytical and modelling skills with a focus on data-informed decision-making.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills across all levels of an organization
  • Strong project management skills and ability to present to executive staff
  • Driven individual with the guile to sell your ideas to other partners, and the desire to implement those ideas cross-functionally
  • Must love creating fun, compelling and engaging user experiences
  • Ability to operate in an entrepreneurial environment, to excel at an extremely fast pace, and to find creative ways to get things done

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento):
º $167,200 - $258,050
• New York (depending on location e.g. Manhattan vs. Buffalo):
º $155,900 - $258,050
• Jersey City, NJ :
º $155,900 - $258,050
• Colorado (depending on location e.g. Denver vs. Colorado Springs):
º $155,900 - $212,800
• Washington (depending on location e.g. Seattle vs. Spokane):
º $155,900 - $241,800

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, 10 weeks paid time off to bond with baby (following 1 year of service), medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
