We are looking for an accomplished Senior Software Engineer with a passion for engaging experiences to help us realize our vision of player created adventures in a AAA Action RPG. This engineer's primary role will be to work with our design team on our 3Cs; author next-level character movement, camera and controls. This engineer will have the support of both an engineering lead for technical guidance and a manager to ensure professional growth and well-being. And as member of our close, collaborative team, your influence will span as much of our codebase and design as your skills and interests dictate.

Responsibilities:

• Help create the foundation of gameplay that will be put into the hands of the player to achieve a responsive, clean and satisfying experience. Ownership areas may include Animation, Behavior, Movement, Physics, Camera, Abilities, Environment Interaction or Procedural systems
• Work with a mix of technical and less technical team members to establish requirements
• Work with leadership and production on accurate scheduling
• Design, author, refine and maintain your systems to meet all functional, technical, and schedule requirements
• Support systems with documentation and tooling for debugging, automation and testing
• Work with QA and technical leadership to ensure stability and robustness of your systems
• Build and use your skillset to support those around you by working with your peers through impromptu conversations, technical discussions and code reviews
• Explore new areas and contribute to essential feedback in analyzing new ideas, technologies and practices

Qualifications:

• Eager collaborator with both engineers and content creators
• Experience shipping Character, Controls, Camera or adjacent gameplay systems such as AI or Combat
• Comfortable using 3D math
• Passion for excellence in both your individual contributions and the quality of the game
• Appreciation for stable, maintainable, and shippable code
• 5+ years of professional C++ experience with a B.S. degree in Computer Science or equivalent
