As a Software Engineer on Frostbite, you will develop cutting-edge tools and runtime technologies for game developers across EA worldwide. As more and more games transition or get developed on Frostbite, it is essential that systems and components work and can use the powerful potential of the Frostbite Engine. As a seasoned software engineer, you will require proficiency in one or multiple domains spanning rendering, animation, systems, work pipelines. You will be part of a team that is passionate about pushing our technologies forward while having fun. You will work with both game teams and our core engine teams, offering further professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will contribute to technical design and reviews
  • Work with game teams to promote creative workflows and maximize in-game performance
  • You will work in multiple areas of Frostbite to improve upon engine features
  • You will refactor complex features and systems to Frostbite and ensure they are feature-complete, performant and testable
  • You will dive into complex software and be a part of the productive team
  • You will report to a Sr. Engineering Manager

We are looking for:

  • 3+ years working experience in C++ and/or C#
  • 3+ years of OOP experience and an understanding of design patterns
  • Experience working with large multi-domain teams
  • Passion for solving hard problems with great people and learning new skills
  • BSc degree Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics or related academic program or equivalent experience

It would be great if you also had:

  • Knowledge or experience in game engine development
  • Experience with complex codebase and software architecture design
  • Experience with Agile development practices
  • Experience in game development disciplines
  • Passion for video games
