As an Associate Quality Designer in the Art craft, you will take ownership of the visual fidelity of the product, focused on world art and asset analysis. Reporting to an experienced Project Lead, you will align with development partners, establish processes and write documentation to assist the creation of art and help shape levels. You will play an important part in the future of the DICE QV Content strategy, evolving the QV Art craft as we move towards the next generation of games.

You Will

  • Establish QV processes for our 3D Artists, Level Artists & Level Designers.
  • Work with game artists, animators, designers and others to ensure DICE content quality standards are maintained.
  • Participate in daily development meetings and share updates with the wider QV team.
  • Develop an intimate understanding of the art production and integration workflows and their associated requirements.
  • Use development tools to guide upstream issue identification and promote defect prevention.
  • Provide qualitative feedback to improve overall product quality and the perception of the art, content and features used in our games.

You Need

  • 3+ years experience working with AAA art teams testing world art, 3D assets, vfx, destruction and lighting.
  • Knowledge in the creation of levels, art assets and other visual areas.
  • Familiarity with providing Qualitative feedback to support our development partners.
  • Understanding of technical best practices for creation of assets and levels.
  • Ambition to help develop future tools by engaging with the team, connecting with members cross-project and sharing knowledge and best practices.
  • To be a role model for junior staff members: setting an example by encouraging and promoting communication and collaboration.

Bonus Points For

  • Familiarity with level creation processes surrounding, environment art, 3D assets and destruction.
  • Experience with the Shotgun tool to track steps of the asset creation process.
  • Experience with tracking and delivering weekly content updates with live service environments.
  • Experience with game engine editors (e.g. Frostbite, Unreal Engine, or Unity).
  • Traditional art skills, appreciation of composition, lighting, colour and detail.
