About the Community Engagement Team (CET)

Our mission is to put our community of players at the center of the EA gaming universe, giving them an authentic players-first experience that is designed to engage, empowers them to create, and ignites sincere social advocacy at scale. Within CET, the Game Changer Network is a leading edge approach to developing, managing, empowering, and scaling our user generated content, community creator, and social influencer partnerships.

Job Description:

As Game Changer Network (GCN) Product Manager you will be the chief product owner and driver of an innovative tech platform that connects EA franchises with our global community Game Changer and social influencer programs. You will be responsible for defining the overall strategy of the Game Changer Network service, develop product functionality, roadmap prioritization, and positioning. As the GCN evolves, you will monitor customer and partner response to the service, and refine product strategy to ensure the best possible user experience.

In this role you will merge traditional product planning and development expertise with game, community, and digital marketing knowledge. This visible and strategic role will partner closely with Community and Marcom leadership, and work with global cross-functional teams to insure a ground-breaking, high quality experience inside and outside of the platform.

The GCN Product Manager has the following primary responsibilities:

Leading the Product Roadmap and Business Plan means that you will:

  • Establish and drive long-term strategic vision and strategy for the EA Game Changer Network platform.
  • Closely partner with in-house and external development teams to translate product vision to roadmap and tactical plans for the delivery of a high-quality, global service.
  • Formulate business justifications for features and program expansion.
  • Analyze program metrics and performance, use the results to drive decision making around feature priority and product roadmap.
  • Research trends and patterns in market, perform competitive analysis as needed, ensure GCN remains at the leading edge.

Communication and Collaboration:

Leading the collaborative effort across cross-functional teams to successfully map, ideate, and document new GCN features means that you will:

  • Effectively communicate product vision to a wide array of partners, development teams, and leadership.
  • Partner with community and developer-facing teams to track and resolve issues, as well as improve our products overall.
  • Run GCN budgets, initiatives, and innovations – and overall performance and impact.
  • Collaborate with leadership, internal legal, finance, tax, and accounts payable on governance models and oversight.
  • Build close relationships between EA community teams, EA IT, and internal administrative teams.
  • Use negotiation skills to help establish the best win state for internal and external parties, and the customer.
  • Conduct surveys, research, and feedback from the community on issues significantly impacting the experience.
  • Ensure all Electronic Arts standards, policies, and processes are observed and followed.
  • Coordinate with other EA Community Managers to craft standard methodologies as well as program innovation, and ensure that GCN updates are successfully rolled out to GCN participants.
  • Regularly deliver platform reports on channel metrics, fan feedback, game issues, or service risks.

Qualifications

  • 8+ years of product management and/or digital marketing leadership experience.
  • Experience managing delivery of a consumer software products, games, or websites.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams to ship products.
  • Organizational experience managing multiple ongoing initiatives.
  • Experience with stages of product development from concept to launch.
  • Proficient in best practices for operating social channels (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal communication, and presentation skills.
  • Strategic and creative thinker with the ability to present new ideas effectively.
  • A dedicated, self-motivated, teammate who is quality driven and conscientious.
  • Has exceptional problem solving skills. Must be able to keep focus on multiple tasks and effectively set priorities among projects.
  • Ability to objectively interpret customer/community feedback and make actionable recommendations.
  • Solid understanding of Live Service operations and Development.
  • Bachelor Degree in Communications or Marketing a plus.
