Position Title: Associate Experience Designer

The Challenge Ahead

Our mobile team is currently looking for a UI Generalist to bring both their practical problem-solving skills and creative visual sense to the EA Sports Mobile Team! We are looking for someone who is knowledgeable, versatile and passionate to bridge the gap between our art and engineering teams to create stunning visuals and animations.

 

Your Impact at EA:

• Create mock-ups, 3D assets and motion graphic animatics, adhering to a given style and artistic direction while iterating based on feedback
• Deliver high quality and optimized 2D and 3D UI assets to the engineering team
• Build animations from conception and collaboration
• Create particle effect assets for use in animations
• Develop user-friendly, optimized tools, workflows and pipelines
• Contribute to the development of our games in a cross-disciplinary capacity
• Accurately estimate work while making smart trades between quality and pace
• Understand how the EA audience interacts with its games/services, and make use of this knowledge in the development of exceptional visuals
• Stay abreast of industry trends and best practices to ensure EA branded games are of high quality and competitive

 

Does this Describe You?

• Strong understanding of Adobe Products: Photoshop, After Effects
• Intermediate knowledge of Maya
• Excellent understanding of motion design and user experience principals
• Detail oriented, organized, and able to effectively analyze project requirements
• Technical aptitude and a cooperative/collaborative approach to teamwork
• Able to meet deadlines and work in an iterative and Agile production process
• Ability to take and apply constructive criticism

 

Nice to have:

• Familiarity with programming in C#, XML and Haxe/Actionscript
• Experience with other Adobe Products (IE: Illustrator, InDesign, Premier, Animate etc.)
• Game production experience on Social and Mobile platforms
• Familiarity with Unity
• Experience working in a version control environment (Perforce)
