Employee Experience Program Manager - Austin

#WeAreEA and we exist to inspire the world to play. EA values creativity, pioneering, passion, determination, learning, and teamwork. We mean things like acting with curiosity, speaking up with original ideas, and committing to each other as one team.

We’re looking for all the best kinds of people to make great experiences for our players. The best people want a job that inspires them while giving them room to enjoy their lives. And we want to give them that. We celebrate diversity and inclusion by creating a place where you can come to work and be yourself.

And we want you to join us. We’re hiring an Employee Experience Program Manager.

This person champions our employee experience. They sit in the Austin office while coordinating with our Galway office to make sure employees get the same great experience on both sides of the pond. They’ll add a bit of fun to our days by helping us celebrate our victories. Why? Because if we can take care of our employees, our employees will be better prepared to take care of our players.

This role is part of EA’s Customer Experience organization. The Customer Experience organization strives to make EA known for taking care of its players. We’re players taking care of players and people talking to people – whenever, wherever, and however they need us.

The Employee Experience Program Manager is a highly visible role, working with multiple teams across Customer Experience—and the rest of EA—including call center Team Managers, Workplace and Employee Services, Workforce Management, Finance, Outreach, the employee-led engagement team, game development teams, and more. A core focus area for this role is maintaining and innovating Cheers, our Global Recognition Program.  A typical day might see this person organizing a game launch experience, creating a project plan to freshen up an older program, and running inventory management for our Cheers reward catalog.

Our team’s work is like internal marketing meets HR meets design. We ask thoughtful questions, listen to our customers, create holistic campaigns, and deliver them to help our employees succeed.

So how do Employee Experience Program Managers make great experiences for players? They:

  • Run Cheers, WWCE’s recognition program: own the budget, execute the 3 year plan, and use the data to ask and answer questions about team performance and morale
  • Advise WWCE Austin and Galway’s local employee quality of life groups by facilitating conversations to help them plan, budget, and manage amazing engagement experiences, game competitions, campaigns, and outreach programs
  • Create a strategy to engage employees through purposeful experiences and activities throughout the year, and execute those plans with the resources you have. Purposeful experiences align with our priorities, campaigns, and brand
  • Manage two Employee Experience Coordinators (one in Austin, one in Galway, Ireland) who support and coordinate the Employee Experience programs and projects.
  • Own monthly Advisor Gameplay Challenges - collaborate across WWCE to create challenges to help advisors learn our games
  • Collaborate with the Internal Comms team to create clean, polished communication plans and send communications about experiences, competitions, and activities via Slack, email, desk drops, or PowerPoint slides
  • Manage facilities projects in Austin and collaborate with the Galway facilities team and Site Council to make WWCE spaces inspiring and meaningful places to work
  • Work with the Service Partner Management team to consult and deliver on service partner advisor engagement recommendations
  • Partner with leaders across CE, leading by influence, consulting and making recommendations on team engagement and development
  • Partner with the Austin and Galway facilities team on launch experiences
  • Use tech tools and creative solutions to measure the effectiveness of your work
  • Deeply engage with the work and be an advocate for the team’s agenda, campaigns, and brand. This role is the mouthpiece and the face of the team in many ways.

If you’re interested in this role, you’ll need these skills and experiences:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills - you’re great at written, verbal, and visual communication, comfortable writing clear, polished comms in a variety of channels
  • A passion for and solid experience creating intentional people experiences, whether that’s in talent acquisition, HR, marketing, or learning and development.
  • Experience planning and executing programs and supporting communication plans, and following through on those plans to completion.
  • A proven ability to influence and build strong relationships: this role is highly visible and needs to be able to influence and collaborate with all of EA, from WWCE leadership, to Galway site council, and create relationships in other departments
  • Ability to maintain your composure, accept feedback, and deliver in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment
  • Proven experience as an excellent self-starter and in follow through - you have experience working successfully with autonomy and taking something from 40% to 100+%.
  • Experience managing budgets and inventories

We love people who are:

  • Creative: You find out-of-the-box/non-traditional ways to engage employees and are always looking for the next innovative thing to wow our team
  • Entrepreneurial: You’re self-motivated to jump in, roll up your sleeves, and get it done; you know that actions speak louder than words, and you thrive on achievement
  • Proactive: You provide recommendations and take the lead without prompting
  • Efficient: You’re organized, resourceful, and always looking for ways to do things better and faster
  • Team Player: You collaborate well with others, know how to play your position, and bring out the best in others to win as a team
  • Enthusiastic: You have a lot of energy, the ability to build relationships quickly, and rally a team
  • Open to Feedback: You listen to feedback, implement what you can, and recognize that not everyone is going to love everything you do; and that’s ok.

Compensation and Benefits

We love to brag about our great perks like comprehensive health and benefits packages, tuition reimbursement, 401k with company match and, of course, free video games. And since we realize it takes world-class people to make world-class games, we offer competitive compensation packages and a culture that thrives off of creativity and individuality. At EA, we live the “work hard/play hard” credo every day. In addition to all of this, we offer a discounted onsite gym, Stepping Stone School onsite, and popcorn every Wednesday!
