We want you to join us. Frostbite is hiring a Software Engineer to join the team in Stockholm!

This role is part of EA’s Frostbite team. Frostbite is a technology and collaboration platform for diverse game franchises like:

• Battlefield
• FIFA
• Anthem
• Need for Speed
• Mass Effect
• Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare

Frostbite also powers games such as:

• Star Wars: Battlefront
• Mirror’s Edge: Catalyst
• and EA Sports Madden

Hundreds of developers all over the world are developing the Frostbite engine. They need efficient, detailed and intuitive workflows to create an amazing engine! Would you like to take part in our journey? Before you make a move, we would like to give you some details.

As a software engineer, you will be part of the team that is developing solutions for some complex problems. From shell scripting to web and everything in between, including C++ testing. We are a team that are very passionate about good engineering practices.

We expect that you are more passionate about solving problems as a team than focusing on coding in one specific language. We also expect that you are curious and proactive in your day-to-day activities.

As a Software Engineer, you are responsible for tasks like:

• writing code and implementing new functionality, fixing bugs, and so on
• designing novel solutions to problems
• responding to support requests and other questions
• performing operational work on all our live services.

To succeed in this role, we believe that you:

• have 2 to 3 years of experience writing code in python or C#
• have good Unix/Linux knowledge
• are self-motivated and have a collaborative attitude
• know little about much
• have experience communicating with all levels of an organization – from entry level to senior leadership
• are open to innovative technology and learning new things
• are up-to-date with current technology.

It is always nice to see more skills and expertise (though not obligatory). So if you have these things too, that’s great!

• A Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field
