What a (Senior) Financial Analyst Does At EA

  • Financial Planning and Reporting

Work closely with the manager and business partners to support preparation of annual plan and rolling forecasts and submit it through planning system

Support submission of company’s Outlook, Risks & Opportunities upon manager’s feedback to identify up-to-date performance expectations, upside, and exposure

Control Opex under budget with periodic analysis of actual spending vs. plan/estimate

Provide ROI analysis for marketing spending in timely manner

Ad hoc reporting and analysis for business partners to help drive informed business decisions

 

  • In-house Planning System maintenance/upgrade

Maintain and/or upgrade in-house planning tool by coordinating with finance partners and local BI team

Play admin role in making sure key metrics correctly represent locked estimate scenario

  • Monthly Closing

Ensure closing actuals to reflect correct financial results based on accrual basis accounting

Prepare for journal entries for accruals and/or amortization of prepaid balances as necessary, all backed up properly by supporting documents  

  • Business Partnering

Develop effective business relationships throughout business teams and finance organization in order to successfully collaborate and deliver key deliverables.

Help communicate, educate, and train users on financial process/system and process enhancements, as necessary.

 

The Next Great EA (Senior) Financial Anaylst Needs

  • Bachelor’s degree required – Finance / Accounting related field preferred.
  • Minimum 3-5 years of related financial planning, budgeting and analysis experience
  • Strong preference for a Gamer
  • Adept in MS Office, with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Strong analytical and technical skills (including general accounting concepts and systems expertise).
  • Experience using financial planning systems and tools. Specific experience using Hyperion Planning, Essbase and Oracle preferred.
  • Excellent oral / written communication and interpersonal skills
