Object Modeler- Maxis- Temporary

Six month Assignment

We are looking for an Object Modeler who combines excellent aesthetic skill with strong technical ability to push our game to look the best it can. A great Object Modeler is a master of 3D sculpting and polygonal art, texturing and shading.  He/she knows how to push an engine to achieve the most appealing and yet real-time performant result.

What skills does EA look for?

- Strong 3D object modeling skills – both hard surface and organic
- Expert in Maya modeling and Photoshop texturing
- Excellent demonstrated understanding of proportion, shading and stylization

- Experience shipping a 3D game as an Object Modeler

- Experience collaborating with design and engineering departments to achieve desired results

- Ability to both take direction from art direction

- Strong traditional art skills highly preferred

- Demonstration of a breadth of art styles a plus

Submission of a portfolio illustrating the candidate’s 3D object modeling and texturing skill set is required for consideration.
