Specific Duties and Responsibilities

• Interpretation
  • Provide consecutive interpretation at intersite meetings between spoken English and spoken Chinese.
  • Provide consecutive interpretation at talent interviews between spoken English and spoken Chinese.
  • Provide consecutive and/or simultaneous interpretation at studio training sessions, showcases, and town halls.
  • Provide consecutive interpretation between spoken English and spoken Chinese when appointed by studio leadership.
• Translation
  • Provide translation for project materials and production documentation between English and Chinese.
  • Provide translation for art production related training materials and documentation between English and Chinese.
  • Provide translation for business materials between English and Chinese on demand.
• Language Training
  • Execute planned informal training exercises for both English and Chinese languages.
  • Assist in the planning of training exercises for both English and Chinese languages.
• Other duties
  • Establish expertise in art production and game development terminologies in both English and Chinese.
  • Support Studio Production in terms of scheduling, tracking, and communicating production activities.
  • Other duties related to interpretation and translation between English and Chinese as defined by studio leadership.

Experience and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in English and/or interpretation/translation related discipline is a must.
• Advanced degrees are desired.
• 1+ years related working experiences.
• Demonstrated ability in spoken and written English + Chinese.
• Proactive, collaborative team spirit, excellent communication skills, capable of working under pressure.
• Prefer experience in game development.
