Position Title: Business Development Principal

External Description:

EA’s Business Affairs / Business Development team provides a central organization for the structuring, negotiation and execution of third-party partnerships, from technology deals to platform relationships to publishing partnerships, and sports related IP. We work with internal businesses to shape EA’s digital future.

 

The Business Affairs / Business Development team is seeking a Director of Business Affairs/Development for Asia who will partner with EA’s digital businesses to lead the creation and execution of strategic partnerships.  You will report to Senior Director of Business Affairs/Development.

 

You will have three primary responsibilities:

  • Working with partners in Asian, to achieve long-term goals and best positions for EA in the market.

  • Build, fosters and maintain relationship with existing partners and potential partners for the region, own and influence relationship for strategic external partners.

  • Advise internal EA partners to align company strategy with our priorities and initiatives; regular works with VP and C-suite executives. 

 

You will have good experience driving the deal process, including sourcing opportunities, evaluating partnerships on quantitative and qualitative measures, and structuring and negotiating contracts. You should also have experience managing relationships with new and existing partners. This role is ideal for someone with the ability to work well in a matrixed organization and accustomed to working in a changing and innovating industry, without managerial responsibilities.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with our internal stakeholders and other business development team members in the execution of deals by lead, influence and influence decision-making.

  • Have skills to negotiate on business terms. Be able to establish amends and improve upon best practices with us.

  • Resolve complex/critical issues for us. Use ideas to develop company ad industry- leading solution.

  • Maintain relationships with and negotiate with top leaders at partner companies.

  • Maintain an understanding of the Asian digital games industry and maintain solid relationships with potential external partners and internal clients.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree. MBA or equivalent graduate degree.

  • Minimum 10 years professional experience in gaming industry or related background

  • Competency with modeling and creating and delivering executive presentations.

  • Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully, both orally and in writing, with executives and colleagues at all levels.

  • Experience in all aspects of managing business partnerships.

  • Capability to build relationships cross functionally.

  • Experience of mobile or digital products.

  • Knowledge of the games industry.

  • Fluent in English
