This role is part of EA’s Customer Experience organization. The Customer Experience organization strives to make EA known for taking care of its players. We’re players taking care of players and people talking to people – whenever, wherever, and however they need us.

 

This is an individual contributor role supporting WWCE from the Strategic Planning and Business Management team. We are looking for someone who can execute within the strategic planning lifecycle, align with cross-functional teams to achieve desired outcomes, and lead efforts in a way that demonstrates alignment to and mastery of prioritization processes, standards, and best practices. This position reports to the Sr. Manager, Strategic Planning and Business Management for Worldwide Customer Experience.

 

The Strategic Planning Lead will support Strategic Planning efforts by:

  • Helping to manage and evolve the strategic planning process by working with the extended leadership team 
  • Managing WWCE’s project/program intake process, which includes:
    • Driving prioritization decisions, backlog grooming, phase gate management, stakeholder coordination, and organizational transparency through reporting and other communications
  • Working with Strategic Planning, Business Process Improvement, and Execution leads to improve processes and standards as business requirements change
  • Providing continuous cycles of training and support for stakeholders 
  • Supporting execution of the Strategic Planning framework with:
    • Scheduling, agenda coordination, meeting room reservation, technical facilitation, and preparatory work oversight for recurring meetings and workshops
  • As needed, contribute to other projects across the Strategic Planning and Business Management team 

A successful Strategic Planning Lead will have experience with:

  • Prioritization techniques
  • Strategic planning frameworks
  • Project or product life cycles
  • PMO standards and practices
  • Process improvement methodologies
  • Customer experience industry
  • Using data to support a business case

Skills and Experience

  • 5+ years project management, PMO lead, or strategic planning experience
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • Organization, process initiation and management, negotiation, communication, change management and compromise
  • Ability to scope and propose the work needed for new engagements
  • Ability to identify root cause and recommend solutions, alternative methods, or process improvements
  • Demonstrated capability to create and manage a complete project plan
  • Mastery of PM tools such as JIRA and at least 1 PPM tool, such as:
    • Planview, Microsoft Project, Monday.com, Asana, Wrike, Saviom, Hive
  • Flexibility and adaptability to changing business models and organization structures
  • Ability to visualize ideas and new concepts
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to develop trust with organizational leaders and influencers
