Job Description

EA is seeking a technical project manager to help design, build, and optimize lifecycle marketing programs. In this role, you will collaborate across various teams within EA, track & formulate requirements, translate these requirements into development & release plans, and follow them through to delivery.

This role will be part of the Dynamic Omnichannel Messaging (DOM) team, a centralized, always-on, automated messaging program that drives acquisition, engagement and retention across EA’s digital channels. This role will work with various teams across EA marketing, technology, and studio organizations to drive innovative solutions that enable personalized player experiences.

The Technical Project Manager has day-to-day responsibility for managing complex development programs and projects to completion. One of the Dynamic Messaging team’s key principles is to deliver world-class experiences for EA players. The role will coordinate and lead the activities of multiple cross-functional teams to complete projects in support of EA’s omnichannel strategy and objectives.

About the Team

The Dynamic Messaging team’s primary goal is to motivate players to engage with EA games by delivering content against key moments in the player’s journey. The team focuses on leveraging behavioral and transactional data, as well as automation tools to deliver personalized messages, at scale; and strategically delivers enterprise-wide solutions that allow for cross-channel marketing automation to power new digital business models.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Leads planning process for feature development programs that expand EA's DOM initiative.
  • Work closely with engineering leaders & team members to translate complex requirements into executable work items
  • Document process guides and capture necessary inputs for solutions design documentation
  • Manage project plans and schedule commitments, ensure plans are integrated and aligned to overall organizational and business strategy
  • Standardize and define repeatable process from planning to ship, inclusive of security, compliance and operational guidelines
  • Identify opportunities for partnership and develop informal networks of influence across the organization
  • Take initiative, drive, and deliver effective programs in partnership with cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the programs are communicated, supported and delivered to the highest standards
  • Tracking risks/issues and dependencies across the program deliverables and communicate their status to global teams
  • Conduct Release Readiness reviews, Milestone Reviews, and Operability reviews
  • Monitor feedback/feature requests, and lead Release Retrospective
  • Balance seeing how the big picture sets clear priorities with the precise, detail-oriented work of keeping teams organized and on task
  • Serve as the primary point of contact regarding tool inquiries
  • Attend and lead program checkpoint meetings/roundtables

 

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Proven Project/Program Management experience in a distributed team environment
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, prioritize, and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment
  • Sound understanding of the software development life cycle and Agile methodologies
  • Extremely data-driven and able to lead prioritization; Ability to remove blockers and get things done
  • Experience working with ALM solutions (JIRA, Confluence, etc.)
  • Excellent written and time management skills
  • Experience with delivering live services, game development, and platform ecosystems a strong plus
  • Strategic thinker, with the ability to clearly articulate vision and implement plans
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience required. A solid foundation in computer science, prior experience as a software developer preferred
  • PDP Certification, Six Sigma Certification, or similar a plus
