EA’s Marcom Global Creative Design Team’s mission is to ignite the imaginations of players through world-class design strategy and craftsmanship. We are a multidisciplinary creative team responsible for branding and visual identity, graphic design, digital media design, and motion graphics.

Reporting to the Art Director, the Digital Media Designer is responsible for the executions of branded assets for a portfolio of games supporting EA’s Dynamic Messaging team. The Dynamic Messaging team’s primary goal is to motivate players to engage with EA games by delivering content against key moments in the player’s journey.

This individual will support EA’s Dynamic Messaging team, focusing on enabling a centralized, always-on, automated messaging program that drives acquisition, engagement and retention across EA’s portfolio of games and other in-network player destinations.

Your responsibility, with guidance from senior leaders, is to use your passion for design, and storytelling to create work for use in EA’s owned channels - inclusive of email and in game. Design assets will include standard and complex digital assets such as animated GIFs, cinemagraphs and video executions.

This role will be based at EA’s global headquarters located in Redwood Shores, California.

Responsibilities of this role include:

  • Design and develop standard and complex digital assets including animated GIFs, cinemagraphs and video executions.
  • Create digital assets for email, in-game messaging, and more, focused on a wide range of EA games, inclusive, but not limited to, promotional, marketing campaigns, offers, game progression support, community and gaming events, and live services.
  • Prioritize daily work and able to react and pivot due to deadline changes
  • Ensure that creative concepts complies with brand, platform, and licensor guidelines and industry-standard specs.
  • Design best-in-class assets that are at the foundation of our franchise Design Systems.
  • Partner with Lifecycle Strategists to ensure assets meets objectives.
  • Work with producers, marketing partners and game studio teams, in both HD and mobile, to deliver premium design executions.
  • Attend and participate in required creative kick-offs.
  • Understand the importance of aligning the overall campaign narrative into every player touch point.

Desired Skills and Experience

  • Minimum 3 years design experience at an agency and/or internal marketing team.
  • BA or BFA in Graphic Design, New Media, Digital Media Design, or similar field. Additional experience in email marketing design, a plus.
  • Ability to design from concept to execution in service of multiple channels targeting a range of audiences.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently with excellent time management skills and a strong work ethic.
  • Ability to present creative work to stakeholders, absorb feedback in a positive manner, and execute against required changes.
  • Possess an impressive portfolio reflecting strengths in design, typography, and layout in both print and digital mediums.
  • Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign.
  • Intermediate/Advanced skills in Adobe After Effects.
  • Understanding of Adobe Animate, HTML5, JavaScript, and HTML/CSS code is a plus.
  • Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
