Position Title: Associate Game Design Director

DICE LA is passionate about innovation and are pioneering a new role within the games industry.  We are seeking a Design Line Manager who will both grow and mentor a best-in-class design team and shape a creative studio culture. 

 

As Design Line Manager, you will be responsible for managing the design team – from coaching and career development, to establishing and executing the team’s talent strategy.  You will work closely with the studio leaders, craft directors and HR.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Coaching, mentoring and career development
  • Champion and evolve studio culture
  • Conduct effective 1-on-1s
  • Help build a high-performance team and manage performance consistently
  • Assess talent and prepare succession planning
  • Drive goals setting and quarterly discussions
  • Participate in resource planning for design
  • Participate in compensation management
  • Build and maintain a strategy for University relations, intern and new grad hiring
  • Source talent, pre-select and interview
  • Onboard new team members

 

 

Skills We Look For:

  • 5+ years of experience in game development or a similar industry
  • Minimum 5 years of hands on experience managing and developing a team
  • Experience as a creative lead
  • A passion for talent development and culture, and an ability to inspire others
