Position Title: Senior Analyst

If you like Apex Legends and want to be a part of a game that is growing incredibly quickly, come join us and help create an incredible experience for our over 50 million players.  We are looking for a Senior Analyst to join the Game Analytics team. This individual will be based at Respawn, Los Angeles, CA, working closely with the Development, Product Marketing, Live Service, Publishing, finance and ops teams.  The candidate will also collaborate with their peers across the Global Analytics and Insights organization from Redwood Shore, Stockholm, Edmonton, Vancouver, Montreal, Geneva and Bucharest. The ideal candidate is an independent analyst who can extract data, cleanse, analyze, iterate, enrich, model, present and document their findings.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

• Work directly with the game design team to bring actionable data-backed recommendations on improvements to areas such as game health, progression systems, weapon/character balance, and economy balance.
• Perform advanced statistical/machine learning analyses using all available sources of information (gameplay telemetry, consumer insights, research data, industry sources)
• Act as a liaison between Respawn, the central teams, and other studios within EA
• Communicate and present actionable results and findings in a clear, concise way
• Work with key stakeholders to develop the right tracking/telemetry needed to answer questions about new features in a sustainable way

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

• 5+ years of relevant hands on experience, preferably in gaming or other consumer-facing applications
• An applied math, economics, computer science or related degree. Graduate degree preferred, but can be replaced by relevant work experience
• Accomplished in the use of Python, R, or other statistical programing environment to do analysis, data visualization, prediction, and modelling
• Demonstrated experience applying statistical/machine learning methodologies to real world problems
• Excellent SQL skills for extracting data: including extensive experience querying large, complex data sets
• Familiarity with big data technologies such as Snowflake, Spark, Hadoop, Hive
• Ability to communicate insights with clarity to both technical and non-technical audiences
• The ability to communicate effectively and to build successful interpersonal relationships with partners across the company 
• Passion for and deep understanding of games, preferably in the FPS genre, and more specifically, Apex Legends

A proactive, self-starter spirit and ability to work both independently and on a team without micromanagement.
