The Role

Join us as a Global Media Strategist within the EA Media team where you will be responsible for working across a selection of premier EA titles. You will report to the Global Media Strategy Lead as part of the Global Media team based out of Redwood Shores California, working closely with talented counterparts in Media Teams in North America, Europe, LATAM and APAC.

To succeed in this role, you will have a rare mix of expertise in media, communication planning and media strategy in addition to creative thinking and analytical talents. Drawing on these skills you will ensure that we are focused on the motivations and needs of our players to help create compelling media experiences that matter.

You will partner with cross-functional global marketing teams to allow you to build comprehensive global media strategies, requiring you to have the ability to adapt to different cultures in both internal and external communication. You will also be tasked with influencing key stakeholders within EA, presenting the Media Team’s approach to strategy and planning, answering questions on cultural and media trends, providing on-going reporting and analysis of campaign performance and executing on business opportunities that you identify.

What You’ll Do:

  • Global media strategy development – defining “who” we are trying to reach, “how” we plan on reaching them and “when” the right time is.
  • Global guidance – provide territory planners with the strategic vision to guide and support the creation of relevant, localized media plans and tactics that align to a global strategy.
  • Content development – working closely with creative and production teams to inform the development of the right content and creative assets for different audiences and platforms.
  • Campaign measurement – Able to provide clear and relevant performance insights to our stakeholders; as well as the ability to analyze data and draw meaningful conclusions from various media metrics.
  • Product Expertise – Able to identify the key elements of the product and brand that will matter most to players in order to develop compelling media campaigns
  • Manage change – be a proponent of positive change and demonstrate the adaptability to deal with change and uncertainty in your day-to-day responsibilities.
  • Manage relationships – maintain effective and collaborative relationships with a wide array of cross-functional partners including finance, campaign planning, creative/content strategy, territory planning, in-house and external activation (agency) partners, analytics, media infrastructure/operations, product marketing, game studios, etc.
  • Communicate – capable of delivering clear and concise written/verbal communications to all levels of the organization, managing expectations of key business stakeholders and understanding the key elements that make EA media planning consistent and effective

 

You Should Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher
  • 5+ years of experience in strategic / communications planning
  • Excellent pro-active, collaborative communication skills (global/ cross-market preferred)
  • Passion for solving intricate marketing challenges to support title growth
  • Knowledge and understanding of building brands through marketing communications
