Position Title: Associate Quality Designer

External Description:

As a Sr. Quality Analyst in our CDS Motive team, you will join our growing team in Vancouver and play a key role in ensuring our games meet the highest level of quality for our players. Your role will involve a strong level of partnership with a broad range of team members, including software engineers, designers, artists and QA team members. You will have a passion for the gaming industry and strong desire to help evolve the process and tools used to deliver a great game.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver technical, quantitative and qualitative feedback on assigned features to the development team, be the voice of quality for the project.
  • Execute pre-integration build verification and reporting processes, along with content testing strategies using development tools.
  • Utilize various testing methodologies on appropriate features/tools, while also analyzing feature sets to find opportunities for automation.
  • Use telemetry to augment test requirements and plans.
  • Create or utilize existing tools to improve and measure QA efficiency.
  • Ownership of a feature or set of features on the title and share design, progress and risk information with the larger team.
  • Work with onsite and offsite teams to help drive the title to quality.

Skills:

  • Ability to develop and build strong working relationships with development, production, and QA teams to execute on a QA support strategy.
  • Dedicated, flexible, and able to adapt QA process to the critical needs of partner teams.
  • Understands concepts of defect prevention and defect containment.
  • Experienced with Grey/White box testing in development environments.
  • Understands the value of automated testing and how to appropriately approach usage.
  • Able to collect and transcribe quantitative data used in forming risk assessments, generating solutions and raising concerns to applicable partners.
  • Active listener with both peers and partners, can drive conversations, and supports team participation.
  • Analyzes personal and team process for innovation opportunities and raises potential improvements.
  • Strong observational skills, analytical, with an eye for detail.

Experience:

  • 3+ Years of QA testing experience, with 2 years within embedded environments.
