External Description:

People Experience - Portfolio Management Intern

Most companies call it HR. But at Electronic Arts, we made the deliberate decision to brand our organization People Experience (PE). PE is not just a play on words: it’s a team of cultural stewards who carefully create programs and talent strategies that directly improve our teams’ experience. For the better. We help our People achieve the most meaningful work of their careers. We’re responsible for recruiting the best and most diverse talent on the planet. But it doesn’t stop there. We also support their growth through learning programs, internal mobility, affinity group participation, and leadership development. We listen to our employees and dive into analytics to anchor our recommendations and decisions to keep engagement high. Last but not least, we’re responsible for a total rewards strategy that incentivizes equitably, provides outstanding benefits, and ensures a safe and inspiring workplace for our teams.

About the Team

The PE Portfolio Management Office (PMO) is a strategic and operational team focused on driving integration, sequencing, and consistency across the PE organization. The mission of the PE PMO is to have PE generalists that excel in portfolio and project management. Unlike many of our peers in PE who have daily operations or clients to support, our primary responsibilities are to implement global high impact PE projects, manage each PE Center of Excellence's portfolio of work to lead integrated planning, and contribute to PE's operational excellence.

Responsibilities:

As a Portfolio Management Intern, you will support key projects and initiatives while gaining hands-on experience in portfolio management. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advise project teams on project execution and change management best practices to enhance project outcomes.
  • Assist in developing project management thought leadership materials, including playbooks and templates, to standardize processes across the organization.
  • Inventory and scope all existing and planned work for a designated Center of Excellence (COE), ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
  • Create and maintain essential project and portfolio artifacts, such as roadmaps, project plans, action trackers, and decision logs, to ensure clear visibility and tracking of initiatives.
  • Engage in cross-functional forums to facilitate collaboration, share insights, and drive alignment on project objectives.
  • Support COEs and project managers in applying the Playbooks to projects, ensuring consistency with the People Experience (PE) and COE's Management Operating System (MOS).

Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Slides) or Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Experience using collaboration tools such as Zoom and Slack.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently.
  • A natural collaborator with excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in cross-functional environments.
  • Strong interest in project and portfolio management, with an emphasis on Human Resources initiatives.
