External Description:

Software Quality Assurance Manager

will manage the quality verification process within a software development team. They ensure that the software products and applications meet the highest standards of quality, functionality, and user experience.

Location: Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

Report to: QA Development Director

Key Responsibilities

  • You will partner with EA China QV/QE, Development teams to guarantee successful product development & service in high quality.
  • You will manage QV projects testing resources with efficiency, then deliver practical quality execution output.
  • You will provide quality-driven leadership within team & co-work partners and driving QA efficiency with EA China/Asia teams engaged way.
  • You will defining and implementing knowledge transfer and communication processes with internal and external teams
  • Increase productivity/efficiency by setting-up new processes, implement improvements and deploy to projects & teams: setup project-wide processes across multiple co-work teams while acquiring new quality strategy/process with joining various global/leadership communities actively.
  • Formulate strong relationships within the QV teams, external vendors and all development partners.
  • Careers manage QV Quality designers as assigned.
  • You will continually improve the operational efficiency and effectiveness of the QV effort by assessing current quality assurance practices and incorporating new strategies, including advancing the use of technology, automation, and development of new test tools.
  • Contribute directly to performance evaluation of individuals and teams, compiling objective feedback that is channeled toward both personal and process improvement.

Required Skills

  • Total + 5 years of experience in SW/game product development, QA, Project Management and other IT business.
  • + 2 years of co-working experience with outsourcing/CS partners.
  • Solid project management skills: establish project goals including scope, quality, and timeframe. create flexible project plan, including requirement definition, task definition, talent assignment, and capacity planning.
  • Outsourcing team/resource management skills: Assess capability of 3rd party testing resources & leading their practical work performance output with sustainable co-work process & engagement.
  • High level insight on SDLC, QA process, advanced development/Test methodologies, and capability to apply for practical strategy - scrum, agile, risk based testing, technical execution(test automation), analytic execution(KPI, data driven decision).
  • Compatible knowledge or experience in SW configuration, CI/CD, process/task management, data analysis communication tools - Perforce, Jenkins, jira/jaas, testrail, notion, confluence, powerBI, slack, other equivalents.
  • Risk management skill: how to evaluate development/QA risks and mitigate issues.
  • Proficiency in Chinese is big plus.
