You will focus on NHL’s Live Service from a production perspective, managing live programs, including roadmaps, scoping, dependencies, and release of content updates. You will take the lead as an internal developer’s primary contact, working with developers on the creation of project and milestone schedules, and post-launch content update planning and overall development plans; provide ongoing management checks and balances throughout the full live operations of the title, from launch onwards. You will report directly to the NHL Lead Producer and will partner with other Producers, Game Designers, Artists, and partner team members to further the growth of NHL's live service.

 

Your Responsibilities

  • Partner with our Live Service Team’s to ensure priorities can be completed and roadmaps are aligned
  • Identify and lead game plans to ensure our team and developers have goals, frameworks, and priorities needed to make the features you’re responsible for. Ensuring a successful launch, on time and at quality.
  • Partner with business development, product management and creative teams to ensure we are making the right decisions for our developers and players, ensuring we are on track to achieve title goals.
  • Feedback on, improve, and take an active part in implementing the Live Service production strategy for the portfolio including pipelines and processes
  • Assist team in budget and scope management against individual game updates and Live Service plans
  • Help resolve unique, complex product issues through ingenuity, creativity, and any other means necessary
  • Identify risks early and often, removing roadblocks and performance bottlenecks
  • Work cross-functionally to create a healthy team culture based on communication, transparency, and shared context

 

Your Qualifications

  • 4+ years of Live Service production experience from console/AAA gaming
  • 7+ years experience in game production and have proven experience shipping AAA games
  • Formal experience in production and project management.
  • Experience shipping and/or running live updates on multiple games simultaneously
  • Experience working with external partners and/or at a game publisher
  • Knowledge of Live Service production, the difficulties generally encountered by teams, and solutions tailored to their requirements
  • Experience leading complex projects with delivery of quality, schedule and in balancing scope, capacity, budget, risk, and time
  • You have an uncanny knack for arriving at solutions and developing a plan to put them into action
  • Experience with video games, innovations in software, and how they enrich the player experience

 

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $126,000 - $176,300 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
