Apex Legends is looking for a Senior Art Generalist to join us in expanding the Apex Universe at our growing location in Madison, Wisconsin. Reporting to the World Director, as a Senior Generalist, your role will require you to be comfortable wearing many different hats on the project. Our team is often tasked with exploring and engaging in content creation across a range of disciplines. On any given day this could include trailblazing with environment art content, VFX assets, lighting setups, skybox exploration, post-processing treatments, and/or technical initiatives. Responsibilities: You will work closely with Art Director and art team to develop visually-inspiring work that seamlessly integrates within the Apex Legends universe. Ability to understand and craft content within multiple discipline-specific pipelines. Develop performant beautiful corners and asset palettes for the team to use. Analyze and target optimization efforts to meet performance standards. Empower the art team with high-impact workflows and procedural tools in Houdini, Maya, Blender, and/or other content creation DCCs. Be a mentor on the team! Sharing workflows, ideas, critiques, and strategies are all pivotal to the team's success and growth. Ideally you will have: 5+ years experience creating high-caliber 3D content within the entertainment space. Accountable with a desire to inspire those around them. Emphasis for visual fidelity, composition, storytelling, and world building. Active participation in group critiques and reviews. Ability to succinctly describe process and intention. Ability to document and explain technical workflows. Experience utilizing industry standard packages. A collaborative and inclusive attitude, ask questions, and learn A passion for making exciting experiences. Nice To Have: AAA Game development experience Experience crafting tools and scripts to support content creation Knowledge of Blender's procedural node graphs.
