Concept Artist (6 month Fixed term contract)

We're looking for a Concept Artist who can work closely with our game teams bringing our Battlefield universe to life.

 

Responsibilities:

 

  • Help establish and convey the Art Director's vision through a wide array of concept art - from sketches to paintings, storyboards, mood boards and paint-overs to support art, design, gameplay and storytelling.
  • Create characters, vehicles, props, VFX concepts, environments.
  • Good communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills, attend meetings within feature teams, and communicate the direction and requirements back to the concept team
  • Seek feedback on your work and give feedback to other artists in your team.
  • Contribute to a collaborative, service minded and learning culture.
  • Strong ideation, brainstorming and documentation skill

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Senior Concept Artist on at least one shipped PC or console title
  • Basic knowledge of industrial design principles and engineering.
  • An artistic eye and broad knowledge of visual media and multiple techniques.
  • Abroad knowledge of composition, perspective, color theory, real-world materials, and lighting.
  • Experience working with and supporting bridging teams and crafts to reach a common goal.
  • Expert level knowledge of Photoshop with an emphasis on drawing, painting and image making. Ability to block out ideas in 3D as well as 2D depending on the needs of the task.
  • Aportfolio that shows versatility in design and process
  • Working knowledge of Blender would be desirable.
