What a Video Editor does at EA:

As a Video Editor, you will report to the Creative Director and work with a creative team of artists to ensure our in-game content is delivered at the highest quality and completed on an outstanding level. You will help build content to achieve the final creative vision set forward by your Cinematics Director or Creative Director.

Important Criteria:

  • An editor with a track-record of delivering multiple successful projects.
  • 7+ years' experience, ideally in a senior role.
  • Experience producing assets, on time and on brief.
  • Motion graphic skills.
  • Deep passion and insight into the latest film trends and techniques.
  • Solution focused with the ability to dive technically deep while still focused on deadlines.
  • Highly organized and able to manage large amounts of content.
  • Work collaboratively with a team of producers, directors, editors, and audio artists.

The next great EA Video Editor also needs:

  • Experience cutting picture, sound and music within a commercial environment.
  • Storytelling editing skills.
  • Take direction and work well with others.
  • Experience with multiple formats and can identify graphical, editorial trends.
  • Sets clear priorities to complete work tasks, allocating resources efficiently
  • Expert level knowledge of Adobe Premiere, After Effects and solid knowledge of Creative Suite.
  • Solid knowledge of computers and video post technology, pipelines, and workflows.
  • Production knowledge and experience with camera operation, on location audio recording and lighting knowledge is a bonus.
  • Interest in MMA and UFC is a bonus.


BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

• British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):
º $89,300 - $123,000 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
