  • The EA Create Capture team is made up of industry experts responsible for motion and performance capture, 3D body and facial scanning, and virtual cinematography. EA Create Capture is looking for a Development Manager to join the team at its Burnaby studio.

You Will:

  • Report to the Operations Lead - Motion Capture, working within the Operations team
  • Be based on set to manage the daily live production needs for Capture and it's development partners
  • Ensure the Capture team understands and work towards achieving the developer's motion capture goals
  • Advocate for the Capture team's needs to meet qualitative and timeline requirements
  • Maintain an inclusive environment and address any conflict with teams
  • Develop positive working relationships with internal and external development partner teams
  • Develop partnerships to deliver exceptional motion capture recording experiences
  • Host pre-production meetings and communicate the opportunities, challenges and dependencies
  • Coordinate the Capture team's dependencies to support motion capture recording scopes
  • Coordinate project resources needed to achieve project goals
  • Work with supervisors and department leads in crewing, casting and scheduling bodies of work to meet overall production schedule, recording plan and team needs
  • Maintain production management tools used to organise task development priorities
  • Escalate and address impact of changes to plan
  • Recognise and escalate any change that affects budget to Operations team
  • Be motivated to overcome challenges
  • Help the team make swift decisions to keep forward momentum

You Should:

  • Understand video game or entertainment production processes and pipelines
  • Have knowledge about project management methodologies, such as Waterfall and Agile
  • Be able to coordinate with people across different time zones and organisational levels

You Have:

  • 3+ years as a Production Coordinator in live production, or a Project Manager at a videogame, VFX or entertainment company
  • Experience in the coordination on-set recording activities
  • Experience working with asset management systems like Shotgrid
  • Experience working with project management systems such as Monday.com, Asana or Jiira

 

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations. If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.

Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs.

BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria):

º $96,400 - $133,900 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, and extended health/dental/vision coverage and basic life insurance.
