Position Title: IT Specialist II
External Description:
We are the IT team who supports AAA game development in a highly collaborative environment at our Los Angeles, Wisconsin & Canada studios; Respawn Entertainment, Ripple Effect Studios, EALA at Electronic Arts (EA).
Come help us power the future of play with the teams developing Apex Legends, Medal of Honor, Star Wars Jedi Fallen order and more.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Manage Purchasing Ticket Queue
- Respawn
- WiP to support EALA, Seattle
- Coordinate and Develop IT Budget Allocation in collaboration with game team leadership.
- Meeting with Respawn Operations (Henry Lee) to align on headcount and ensure alignment on hardware expectations.
- Meeting with Game Teams on a regular basis to advise on current spend and ensure alignment (Minimum-Monthly)
- Consult on the dDevelopment, maintenancemaintainence, and improvement of Purchasing and Procurement policies and workflows.
- Ensure all parties involved are aware and follow policies.
- Consult on the development, maintenance, and improvement of Develop, maintain, improve Asset Management policies and workflows.
- Develop and maintain relationships with various Vendors for the benefit of Respawn/EA
- Meet on a regular basis to ensure alignment of Respawn needs.
- Ensure best pricing possible through developed relationships and negotiations.
- Project Management
- Coordinate with internal EA IT teams to support international Respawn Employees
- Coordinate with various EA IT teams to develop and ensure alignment on processes and workflows.
- Manage, maintain, improve Software & Licensing
- Maintain records in Monday.com.
- Maintain renewal process to ensure zero downtime.
- Manage, maintain, improve Hardware Inventory
- Asset Panda
- Audits
- Supervise Asset Specialist
- Set roles and responsibilities (TEKsystems MPS team member(s))
- Ensure compliance with process and policies.
- ESet hardware policy and ensure compliance with HW policy within the IT team.
- Oversee Software Purchases for EALA & Seattle Studios
- Maintain records in Monday.com.
- Source seed/test units to ensure alignment with Respawn requirements.
- Run hardware tests and develop baseline data.
- Coordinate with POCs and Game Teams to deploy units for real world evaluation.
FY25 Goals:
- Budget Modernization
- Work closely with FP&A to create processes and workflows ensuring alignment between our departments throughout the fiscal year.
- Update and simplify our budget tracker to better meet data needs.
- Collaborate with finance to pull data from iProc and create a template to organize data, aiming to replace the manual budget tracker. This will reduce the risk of error and ensure a more complete data set for reference.
- Generate a modernized model for creating the IT budget that aligns with Finance, reduces redundant meetings, and ensures all relevant data is accurate and available in advance.
- Track our spending in more detail to ensure appropriate expenditure throughout the year, with the goal of being within 5% of total budget allocation.
- Software
- Continue developing our process for tracking and maintaining software and licensing purchases and deployment (e.g., Monday.com, ServiceNow, etc.).
- Ensure zero downtime for the business due to software lapses.
- Develop a process for removing software licenses.
- Continue working through the legal workflow to better align with policies and establish proper expectations.
- Hardware
- Continue developing hardware policies and workflows.
- Optimize our equipment return process.
- Optimize our use of repurposed equipment.
- Continue developing our inventory and audit process to ensure complete and accurate data within Asset Panda.
- Organize and secure IT equipment in Osborne and all locations.
- Asset Specialist Role
- Develop the Asset Specialist role to meet Respawn's equipment needs.
- Automation
- Focus on identifying areas where automation can play a part in achieving all goals and day-to-day tasks.
US COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these states. Salary offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, and business or organizational needs. BASE SALARY RANGES • California (depending on location e.g. Los Angeles vs. Sacramento): º $103,200 - $145,600 USD Annually Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA. We also offer a package of benefits including paid time off (3 weeks per year to start), 80 hours per year of sick time, 16 paid company holidays per year, medical/dental/vision insurance, life insurance, disability insurance, and 401(k) to temporary full-time employees scheduled to work full time. |
