Position Title: Specialist III, Shared Services

External Description:

Our Shared Services organization offers business support across EA’s organization, assisting with payroll services, end-to-end purchase to pay with vendor management, expenses, Accounts Receivable and credit. We achieve this through rigorous processes and effective relationships with external partners as well as internal stakeholders.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Payroll:

  • Support the Payroll Team in the monthly processing of all salary information.
  • Collate data changes from Workday and prepare for entry into the Payroll System
  • Entry of changes into the Payroll System
  • Help with payroll validations.
  • Respond to queries from employees, authorities and managers.

Accounts Payable:

 

  • Support the business partners with the P2P process.
  • Keep vendor accounts reconciled on a monthly basis.
  • Meet with Accounts Payable KPI’s (Invoices payment on time, ATFPO, etc…)
  • Support other AP ledgers to cover contingencies.
  • Direct support to AP Supervisor, AP lead and Specialists.

 

Major Functions & Related Activities:

 

  • Participate in our continues review to improve processes and policies for Source to Pay and Payroll. Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP, Sarbanes Oxley and any other country regulations.
  • Support the Shared Services team leadership to improve and simplify processes, drive global alignment, and build scalable systems to support business growth.
  • Identifies problems and report prior to escalations; may provide alternative solutions to resolve moderate issues.
  • Provide regular updates on key tasks and KPI’s working with wider teams.
  • Support in projects in partnership with key stakeholders (e.g. Business Partners, Controllership, IT).
  • Looks to improve the overall customer experience by reviewing historical data and identifying emerging trends.
  • Partnership with our GFSS team to align KPIs, processes and expectations.

 

Experience / Capabilities:

  • Self-motivated, demonstrates initiative, flexibility, maturity under pressure & anticipates and resolves problems before they develop.
  • Effective communicator in person, written, and through clear presentations.
  • Capable of assessing the level of urgency for customer/business inquiries
  • Previous experience of working with Global Shared Service Centre.
  • 2+ years working within payroll.
  • Experience in Finance Shared Service organization or mixed finance teams would be a plus.

 

Technical Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree (Finance / Accounting related field preferred), or equivalent working experience.
  • Foundation Accounting knowledge preferred to understand wider finance impacts.
  • Demonstrated experience working in Finance and/or Shared Services teams to provide business and team support.
  • Knowledge in Workday and Oracle ERP preferred.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in Excel and Power Point at advance level.

 

This is a new role at EA! The role will be suitable to someone with a finance operations or generic finance background wanting to broaden their skill set with responsibility of multiple tasks, you will have exposure to multiple teams and colleagues and have to be able to prioritise your workload to meet the various demands within the team and manage these expectations with your stakeholders.
