Position Title: Software Engineer I

External Description:

As Software Engineers in the Quality Verification Engineer team, we collaborate with QA and Game Development to develop automation solutions, scripts, and strategies, targeted toward improving game infrastructure and increasing efficiencies in the QV process. You will help ensure seamless consumer experience by focusing on upstream quality and targeting defect prevention and containment by assisting with generation and analysis of testing strategies, improving automation efforts, white box testing, identifying new testing technologies and developing new tools for testing and tracking purposes. As a service provider, you will work directly with our internal customers to achieve agreement and increase satisfaction. 

You will report to the local Sports QVE manager, but will also coordinate with the off-site manager responsible for the team. 

  • SCOPE & IMPACT: 
  • Work with QA analysts to identify areas of improvement through new tools and automation strategies (identification and requirements gathering) 
  • Develop, test, deploy and maintain automated solutions and services for multiple projects, to support game project deliverables 
  • Write and maintain scalable, testable, versioned, and documented code. 
  • Perform code reviews and be willing to pair and mentor other team members. 
  • Maintain tools, integration, and technologies to support reliable environment. 
  • Manage aspects of a tool or service, working with customers and technical leads to achieve our strategic goal. 
  • Follow standard software engineering processes and best practices for requirements, design, implementation and testing. 
  • Report regular status against assigned tasks and identify project risks. 
  • Close communication with internal customers, monitor satisfaction and escalate any issues or improvement opportunities. 
  • Set realistic milestones and work towards successful completion. 
  • Participate in knowledge sharing sessions and increasing knowledge of existing tools, automation and testing processes. 
  • Provide debug support and technical expertise to QA teams and game software engineers. 

 

REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Intermediare level professional experience with C# 
  • Bachelor’s studies in Computer Science/Software Engineering or equivalent industry experience 
  • Experience with Agile (Scrum) development methodologies 
  • Experience with version control, e.g., Git, TFS, etc. 
  • Preferred knowledge in gaming consoles or embedded systems
